Bolder Advocacy

The recently enacted Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides critical assistance to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits struggling to make ends meet. Nonprofits should understand and take advantage of provisions in the new law that may allow them to obtain new loans to meet payroll obligations, pay debts, or just keep the lights on.

Questions about what the CARES Act does and how it might benefit you? Read this memo prepared by Trister, Ross, Schadler & Gold, PLLC and join us on Tuesday, April 7 at 4 PM ET for a Facebook Live discussion.

Here are some of the FAQs the memo answers (and we’ll dig deeper into these in Tuesday’s conversation!):

  • What organizations are eligible for a loan?
  • How can an organization apply for a loan?
  • What may the loan be used for?
  • What is the maximum loan amount?
  • Are we required to pay back the loan?

Bolder Advocacy is here to help during this public health crisis. We are working to share the latest developments impacting nonprofits, and we will continue to support your advocacy efforts as we all navigate these rapidly changing times. Don’t hesitate to reach out with your questions!
