Got 15 Minutes? Tell BoardSource About Your Advocacy Work

By Jennifer Deng, Senior Director of Strategic Development & Partnerships, BoardSource

Be part of a campaign to build more support among nonprofit boards of directors for public policy work. Take a short survey about your organization’s perceptions and views towards advocacy. If you can, please complete the survey by October 22.

Based on data from BoardSource’s 2012 Governance Index, we know that:

  • 54% of nonprofit boards are not actively involved in discussing policy issues relevant to their organization.
  • 62% of nonprofit boards are not actively involved in educating policymakers.

BoardSource, a national nonprofit working dedicated to advancing the public good by building exceptional nonprofit boards and inspiring board service, in partnership with the Campion Foundation and collaborators like AFJ, the Council of Nonprofits, and PolicyWorks, is designing a campaign that will engage board members in advocacy initiatives that drive mission impact for the nonprofits they serve and enhance the leadership capabilities of the nonprofit sector.

Your input will help BoardSource design a successful campaign. This survey will take approximately 15 minutes of your time.  And thank you, in advance, for completing it.

If you have any questions on the survey or the campaign itself, please contact me: [email protected]
